Finally...

It only took me over twenty years to get him to actually take some time and do this, but we accomplished it yesterday. We got four songs on track. It's not perfect, as we are still learning the equipment and we have to pace this so Dweeb doesn't throw the track recorder off the deck in frustration. But I have four songs loaded up and ready to share. The first is Billy Joel and I'm missing New York lately (probably more vacation than anything else), so he is loaded first. This is a picture of the Brooklyn Bridge (for those who don't know). We cross it at least once on foot every trip headed to Brooklyn Heights from Manhattan.

Dweeb is going to also start playing around town a bit on his own. He also made this CD of sample songs because a place on the Plaza wants to hear him as they get ready to book for summer outdoor entertainment. Not bad for a guy who taught himself everything. He had two guitar lessons as a kid. Things are moving pretty fast all of a sudden and I hope he doesn't stress himself out. The band will probably have 2-3 events a month by then (hopefully not more). Oh yeah, he does have his JOB! Can't forget that for awhile.

Anyway, the recording is not perfect, done in a couple of hours, but you get the idea. I hope you enjoy it. I will change the song in a couple of days.

Wow . . he's very, very good. This is one of my favorite Billy Joel songs and he's just done a great version of it. I can't wait to hear some of his other stuff.

Wow! What a good idea to put Dweeb on your blog. He sounds great! As good as Tom Petty? :)

Hey Sue! I am listening as I type this and I must say that Dweeb is awesome. Wow! I may have to drive up to Kansas to hear him in person - maybe when the Jayhawks win the NCAA bball championship (wink). Seriously, he sounds really cool and I am picturing myself at an outdoor cafe in the summer sipping a Heineken Light and listening to Dweeb.....or maybe a glass of Shiraz:) Pretty cool, Sue, and I wish Dweeb much success.

Sue,

Oh my, that is so great. Dweeb not only has talent I can also hear the passion that he has for his music. You must send me a scedule of his upcoming gigs so I can come and listen. Keep up the fantastic work.

Sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to your sight and hear this. Our lifes seem to get busier as we grow older. Is that the way it is supposed to be???

Keep up the good work and I will check back later for more entries.

Your "Missouri Tiger" friend,
Ed

Hey Sue, that was what you call a butt whopping that your Jayhawks gave to KSU:) Hope you are basking in their win because Mizzou is next. I don't think Mizzou is so great this year but you just never know. Take care and stay warm. After all the sunshine over the past 3 days, we are looking at a high of just over 40 today. Shoot me!

Hey there, lady. How's life? Hope everything is going well!

I wish I had speakers on my computer at work so I could hear the tunes. I'll have to remember to check it out sometime when I'm at my mom's.

Sue,

Ok, after the beating your Jayhawks put on my Tigers I have gathered up the strength to return to your websight. Oh my, KU looked awesome that night.

Hope you can get out and visit my sight again soon. I enjoy your comments. Keep that Dweeb going, your agent fee is great I am sure.

Enjoy,
Ed

I had to stop by because I keep thinking of you randomly. I've seen 3 different Jayhawk license plates in the last 2 days, and it's just SO random. They were all California plates with Jayhawk vanity plates and license plate holders.

See, even some Jayhawk pride over here in CA!
